The Kittocks Cottages – St Andrews
Conveniently positioned, the row of 4 Kittocks cottages (Cottage, Den, Muir and Corner) are situated just a 5 minute drive from the centre of the historic town of St Andrews. If you are looking for an escape from the hustle and bustle of reality but still want town to be easily accessible, these are the cottages for you. For those of you with cars, there is ample free parking available and for those of you without, there is a bus stop just 100m along the road with regular services to St Andrews, Crail and further afield.
The cottages are perfectly suited for friends and families alike, even dogs are welcome! Each cottage accommodation has a private back garden with outdoor furniture, allowing you to make the most of the delightful space. The gardens are fully enclosed, ideal for families with children and those with dogs. In addition to the garden spaces, there is a further fully enclosed paddock area to the rear with access shared between all four cottages. There is a children’s play area with a seesaw and swing, as well as a picnic bench and swing chair for the supervising adults. The Kittocks’ would be a great place to enjoy larger family get-togethers, with all four combined providing accommodation for up to 23 people.

Sypsies & Kirkmay – Crail
Just 10 miles along Fife’s charming coastline is Crail, which is home to our row of four Sypsies cottages (Mick’s, Cradle, Sypsies and Meggie Allans) and a row of five Kirkmay cottages (Lairdsgate, Kirkmay 4, May Isle, Nuttings, Kirkmay). These traditional farm cottages provide a variety of accommodation sizes, from a one-bedroom up to a five-bedroom accommodation, there’s something to suit all.
Each maintains its authentic cosy-cottage vibe, most of which have maintained their original working fire places. Crail is the perfect place to completely switch off and recharge.
Despite being set right amongst Crail’s countryside, the town and its amenities are just a short 5 minute walk away. One of Britain’s most photographed harbours is also just a short walk away, where the cobbled streets tumble down to the famous lobster shack and secluded beach, completely enveloped by cliff sides. From here, the Fife Coastal Path can be directly accessed, stretching for over 180km. Just a short drive away are more picturesque fishing villages, including Pittenweem (where Seal are frequently spotted) and Elie, providing excellent days out.
An oasis of serenity, the secured back gardens of each cottage have uninterrupted views over the Firth of Forth and the Isle of May. At both sites there is a children’s play area with swings, slides and a trampoline.
