We have an action-packed summer ahead of us here in St Andrews, and it would only be fair you to come along and join in on all the fun.

Here is a selection of local events to feature in your summer of 2022’s calendar:
The Open Championship – 10th – 17th July 2022
With a record-breaking number of attendees expected, the 150th Open Championship is set to be a historic one. The event commences on the 10th July, with play ceasing on the 17th. Whether you’re an avid golfer or not, every one of us will be in awe of how the town transforms for such a momentous occasion.
If you are planning on attending the event and are yet to secure accommodation, we have only a few remaining properties left for the week. Crail Food Festival – 17th – 19th June 2022
Taking place over the weekend of the 17th June, spread throughout multiple locations in Crail, the Crail Food Festival is an absolute must for foodies. From fire feast nights to local produce tastings and cocktails, there’s plenty to keep you (and your tummy!) occupied. All our Crail homes are a mere minutes’ walk from the centre of all the action.

Crail Festival – 20th – 30th July 2022
With over 40 events on in the town throughout the ten-day period, including Arts and Crafts exhibitions, shows and bake-off competitions, there is something to suit everybody’s tastes. The Festival’s Putting Green is also open from 4th June – 25th September (weekends June & Sept only, daily during July and August). For only £2 per adult and £1 per child, you will be a pro-putter by the end of summer!
Crail Festival – 20th to 30th July 2022
Balgove Night Markets – First Tuesday of every month up to September
A night filled with local vendors, amazing food and live music and demos – what else could you want on a Tuesday evening?! Located just outside on St Andrews town, Balgove Larder is a farm shop, butchery, café, and steak barn, which blossomed from a love of Scottish Fare and has since become a hub for top notch, local produce.

Highland Games – St Andrews 28th August, Ceres 25th June
The oldest Highland Games in Scotland, Ceres has held the event every year since 1314 and is set to celebrate yet another year of games on the 25th June. From tug of war to the 56lb weight over the Bar, the Highland Games are an action-packed day filled with all things Scotland! Ceres is just a short 15-minute drive from St Andrews. Held just in front of The Old Course Hotel, the St Andrews Highland Games are due to take place on the 28th August.
