Step outside the front door and you are in the heart of town, only a 2-minute walk from St Andrews’ restaurants, bars and shops, and a mere 5-minute walk to the famous Old Course and award-winning West Sands beach. Directly opposite is where the property the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge lived during their time at University.

Set over three floors, 1 Howard Place is a golfer's dream, with the majority of the St Andrews Links courses easily accessible and extensive storage for golf bags and equipment on-site. There are 8 seperate beds, creating the perfect base for two groups of four balls.

The front door leads you to an attractive, large, vestibule, equipped with substantial, bespoke stands for golf clubs. The entrance hall has a comfortable seating with a further area to hang coats and store shoes. From the ground floor hall is the original, sweeping, grand staircase leading you to the living areas.

To the front of the property is the heart of the home, the drawing room, combining both the living and dining area. This stunning room retains all of its original cornicing and perfectly complements its façade. The drawing room is the perfect spot for social evenings. The Smart TV allows guests to log in to Sky, Netflix and Amazon Prime accounts.

The kitchen is to the rear of the first floor, a thoroughly modern room, is equipped with everything you need for your holiday including a dishwasher, microwave, steam oven, warming drawer, oven, hob and coffee machine.

There is 1 bedroom on this floor, a very large twin which can also be made in to a superking. There's also a master bathroom, with a shower over the bath.

Headed up the grand staircase, the top floor contains the remaining four bedrooms. There are 2 twin bedrooms both with en-suite shower rooms, and the remaining two bedrooms both have double beds, with a separate shower room to share.

Howard Place benefits from free on street parking. There is also a shared garden, which is for use by Howard Place holiday guests and residents only, please feel free to utilise this exclusive space during your stay to make the most of the sunny evenings.

Alongside the amenities specific to this home included under the ‘facilities’ tab, the following will also be provided for your stay:
  • High quality 300 thread count Egypian Cotton bed linen
  • A fluffy white hand towel and bath towel per person, including a hand towel and bathmat for each bathroom
  • Bar of soap in each bathroom
  • Mini shower gel per person
  • One toilet roll per bathroom
  • A starter pack of kitchen essentials, including dishwashing soap, a few dishwasher tablets, dishcloth, tea towel, washing up sponge and a spare bin bag.
  • An iron and ironing board
  • Hairdryer
In addition, extras are available to add at the time of booking. These can be added up to a week prior to your arrival. These include:
  • Travel cot (linen not provided) £20.00
  • Highchair £20.00
  • Pet fee £30.00 per dog (applicable to dog friendly homes only)
  • Meet at the property service (available only within office hours) £25.00
Please do note, linen is not provided with the travel cots for safety reasons. If you pre-order these we will ensure they are set up in your house ready for your arrival. All items are hired at guest’s own risk

Bed configurations
Please let us know your preferred bed configurations (e.g. twin or Superking) no later than a week prior to your arrival date, if we do not receive this information by this date we shall set beds up as twins as standard. The configurations available for your home are outlined under the facilities and description tabs.

Check in/ check out
Check in on the day of arrival is 4pm and check out is 10am.

Should you require a later check out or early check in, this will be entirely dependent on when previous guests depart, or the next guests arrive.
Please call us a day or so prior to arrival should you wish to check in early. Should a later check out be required and we are able accommodate this, a charge of £40.00 will apply up to 12pm. If you would like to check out later than 12pm, an extra night will be charged.

Awesome place! We had 8 guys staying to play golf and it was perfect! Central location for golf and going out to restaurants and bars!!
