The Wayfarer's House

The house enters into the newly open plan living, kitchen and dining area and the staircase to the upper floors. This area is now perfectly bright and large for families and groups to enjoy together. Just behind the dining area, you have the French doors leading you out to the back garden and patio.

Upstairs on the first floor, there are two bedrooms - one double and one twin / double and one bathroom with separate bath and shower. The back bedroom enjoys spectacular, uninterrupted sea views out towards the harbour and East Sands Beach. Following the stairs up to the top floor, there is the master double bedroom and the newly added shower room.

Throughout the property there is plenty of storage so feel free to bring the golf set along with you - there is nothing quite like playing golf in the world renowned "Home of Golf".

Dogs are also welcome at this property so feel free to bring your four-legged friend on holiday too. There is an additional "Pet Charge".

This property benefits from a private garden and free on street parking. The beach and shops are only a short walk away.
All keys are collected from our main offices, as below, do not go directly to the property unless you have booked for one of our staff to meet you at the property at the time of booking.

The keys will be available from 4 PM onwards, departure is at 10 AM. To collect the keys you should follow the directions below.

  • From the Forth Road Bridge take the A92 and follow signs to St. Andrews.
  • Leave St. Andrews on the A917, keeping left to the Crail Coast Rd.
  • Approximately 2 miles from St. Andrews on the left hand side, directly opposite Spinkstown Farmhouse B&B, is the entrance for Kingask House (2 Sandstone pillars at the entrance leading to a white house surrounded by trees).
  • Once you get to the top of the drive follow signs for the office/reception.
  • The postcode is KY16 8PN if you wish to use a route planner. If you reach the "Fairmount Golf Hotel" then you have gone too far!

We’ve had the real pleasure of staying here both pre and post the renovations. We loved it before, but it really is fantastic now. The living space downstairs is a really good size, and the extra bedroom at the back is lovely. The house is clearly very well looked after, and the garden is a little sun trap – it might be 14oC at the beach, but it feels like 20oC in the garden! It’s proximity to the beach is excellent. All up, we loved our stay and look forward to our next St. Andrews visit.

Great 3 bedroom cottage only 2 mins walk to East Sands beach. We stayed as a family of 5 and it was perfect for us, the rooms were spotlessly clean and it had all the facilities we needed for a long weekend stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Wayfarers. Beds were comfortabke. House was complete with everything we needed. Location close to town! Views out of the back of the house were awesome. Backyard is a nice extra. All in all we loved it.
