Peacefully positioned with beautiful rural surroundings and sweeping sea views, Meggie Allan’s enjoys a wonderful setting on the edge of Crail. Just a ten minute walk from the picturesque fishing village — with its sandy beaches, historic harbour and renowned pottery — the cottage provides an ideal base for exploring the East Neuk of Fife. The Cow Shed Crail wedding venue is only a short stroll away, making it perfectly suited to families, couples, wedding guests and those travelling with pets.

Detached and set beside a charming terrace of three cottages — including Cradle Cottage, Sypsies Cottage and Mick’s Cottage — Meggie Allan’s offers privacy while still being close to neighbouring properties for larger group stays.

Set across one level, the accommodation centres around a spacious sitting room with dining area and traditional open fire, creating a warm and welcoming heart to the home. A bright conservatory sits just off the living space, boasting outstanding sea views across to the Isle of May and the Firth of Forth — a perfect spot to relax and take in the coastal scenery. The fully equipped kitchen provides everything needed for a comfortable stay.

The property offers a double bedroom and a twin bedroom with en-suite shower room, along with a family bathroom featuring a shower over bath.

Outside, the private fully enclosed garden is ideal for pets and small children, while private parking adds further convenience.

Fab cottage in a stunning setting

May 2019

We stayed at Meggie Allen’s with our three children and had a lovely weekend and instantly relaxed when we arrived. The setting is just beautiful and with the most stunning views.
The kids loved playing in the garden and on the swings. We all walked (including our 2 year old) down to Crail via the track from cottage. In Crail we found a great park with football pitch, tennis courts and an outside gym, which entertained the kids for ages.
The cottage itself was great, it was very clean and bright. The bathrooms were lovely and again spotless. Everything was lovely and clean and just the perfect size for us. The kitchen was lovely being open plan with the living room and is stocked more than most places we have stayed with kitchen roll, fairy liquid, tea, coffee, sugar, dishwasher tablets.
Highly recommend staying here if you want some time out and a beautiful place to stay. We called it a little peace of heaven and will definitely be back.
