Peacefully positioned with beautiful rural surroundings and far-reaching sea views, Mick’s Cottage enjoys a wonderful setting on the edge of Crail. Just a ten minute walk from the picturesque fishing village — with its sandy beaches, historic harbour and well-known pottery — the cottage offers an excellent base for exploring the East Neuk of Fife. The Cow Shed Crail wedding venue is only a short stroll away, making it particularly well suited to families, couples, wedding guests and those travelling with pets.

Forming part of a terrace of three cottages, alongside Cradle Cottage and with Meggie Allan’s and Sypsies Cottage just a stone’s throw away, Mick’s Cottage is ideal for larger groups looking to book neighbouring properties while still enjoying their own private space.

Set across one level, the property centres around a spacious open plan living and dining area, creating a sociable and welcoming heart to the home. The fully equipped open plan kitchen sits just off this space, offering everything needed for a relaxed stay. An additional living area provides extra flexibility, complete with a desk and a double sofa bed (linen available on request).

The accommodation comprises a master double bedroom and three twin bedrooms, each benefiting from its own en-suite bathroom, separated by distinctive recycled rolling shed doors. A master bathroom provides further convenience.

Outside, the large private enclosed garden offers plenty of space to relax, while private parking adds ease to your stay. The centre of Crail, the sea, local restaurants and pubs are all within a five minute walk.

Please note, due to the rural location of the cottage, water pressure can fluctuate. The wifi also works off a 3G dongle and therefore signal can often fluctate.

This semi detached newly refurbished rustic cottage has been finished to a very high standard, offering bright and open accommodation perfect for families, groups of friends or wedding parties.

PETS WELCOME

This property has a keycode to access, so there is no need to come to our office to collect keys.

We will be in touch a week or so prior to your arrival with directions to the property and to provide you with the access code. Check in is 4PM and check out is 10AM?.

Alongside the amenities specific to this home included under the ‘facilities’ tab, the following will also be provided for your stay:

High quality 300 thread count Egyptian Cotton bed linen
A fluffy white hand towel and bath towel per person, including a hand towel and bathmat for each bathroom
Bar of soap in each bathroom
Mini shower gel per person
Two toilet rolls per bathroom
A starter pack of kitchen essentials, including dishwashing soap, a few dishwasher tablets, dishcloth, tea towel, washing up sponge and a spare bin bag.

In addition, extras are available to add at the time of booking. These can be added up to a week prior to your arrival. These include:

Pet fee £30.00 per dog (applicable to dog friendly homes only)
Meet at the property service (available only within office hours) £25.00

Please do note, linen is not provided with the travel cots for safety reasons. If you pre-order these we will ensure they are set up in your house ready for your arrival. All items are hired at guest’s own risk

Bed configurations
Please let us know your preferred bed configurations (e.g. twin or Superking) no later than a week prior to your arrival date, if we do not receive this information by this date we shall set beds up as twins as standard. The configurations available for your home are outlined under the facilities and description tabs.

Check in/ check out
Check in on the day of arrival is 4pm and check out is 10am.

Should you require a later check out or early check in, this will be entirely dependent on when previous guests depart, or the next guests arrive.
Please call us a day or so prior to arrival should you wish to check in early. Should a later check out be required and we are able accommodate this, a charge of £40.00 will apply up to 12pm. If you would like to check out later than 12pm, an extra night will be charged.

We had a wonderful week at Mick’s Cottage near Crail, a historic fishing village on the East Neum which proved to be an excellent destination for our large group of friends aged from 7 – 72!
We spent hours sitting at the beach at Crail Harbour (15 minute walk), two days at Cellardyke Tidal Pool (10 minute drive) and a very lovely afternoon at The Golf Inn (10 minute walk).
The cottage is in a lovely situation and was a real home from home for us. There were a few niggles but the team at Kingask were very helpful, as they were from when we booked to when we left. We’ll be back!

Had a fantastic stay at Mick’s Cottage in Crail. The 4 of us each enjoyed having our own bedroom with en-suite facilities whilst having the open shared space of the lounge/dining room/kitchen to socialise together. It was within walking distance of Crail and accessing the coastal paths.
Kingask Properties who manage the bookings were very friendly and helpful.

Me and my husband were lucky enough to attend a wedding at the cow shed in Crail recently and stayed in Mick’s Cottage with some friends. En suites in every room and brand new everything else, total luxury, wish we’d been staying longer. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful or friendly. 5 out of 5.
